Mini Athletics Beckenham and West Wickham

Hello and Welcome to Mini Athletics Beckenham & West Wickham.

We take what children love to do most - run around and burn energy - and mix that with imaginative and fun worlds, where the children learn to run, jump and throw without even realising.

Children go to the beach, into space and to the funfair. They become dinosaurs, pirates and unicorns and all the while, their jump legs are developing, their running arms are taking shape and their aiming arm is honing their throw.

We offer a class for all ages from walking up to 7 years old including:
- Community classes
- Nursery classes
- School clubs
- SEN classes
- Birthday parties

Community classes are held on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday across Beckenham and West Wickham. We are also in nurseries, childminders and schools, so ask if Mini Athletics is available at your childcare provider.

If this sounds fun, come along and join in. You can also follow us on fb or Instagram @miniathleticsbeckenham for all latest class and club news.

I look forward to welcoming you and your Mini Athlete.

Our Team

Meet the Beckenham and West Wickham Team

I'm Lara and this is my team - Coach Alyx, Coach Jasmine, Scarlett and Amy, plus our mascot Gogo. This small but mighty team teaches all Mini Athletics classes in Beckenham and West Wickham.

I've been part of Mini Athletics for some years now. First as a parent, enjoying the classes with my youngest daughter and more recently as a Lead Coach, running classes across Penge and Crystal Palace. As of March 2023, I'm taking up the reigns as Owner of Mini Athletics Beckenham & West Wickham.

I'm a keen runner, and have been since my teens, so sport and fitness has long been important to me. I'm so pleased to see this love has passed on to both my daughters, even if it does mean cheering from a cold side line of a cross country run.

Sport builds confidence. It can form friendships. It offers a sense of achievement. And the best thing for me as a Coach is watching the smiles, joy and happiness of the children as they experience all 3 in class.

Myself and my team all hold Enhanced DBS Certificates, Child Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications and I also include some Makaton in my classes too.
